Relaxation for Kids

Do you find your students or children are more stressed today than you were when you were that age?  This is a common concern of both teachers and parents.

Relaxation for Kids can be taught as a one day program or as a 4 session series for about 45 min each.  The program is customized to fit each group's needs.  The kids and chaperoning adults will practice things like deep breathing, muscle relaxation, and laughter yoga.  These techniques are very helpful in decreasing anxiety, handling every day stress, and getting a good nights rest.

Relaxation Techniques ~ as a one time event
This is an hour long program where the youth and chaperoning adults are taught a few relaxation techniques that they can incorporate into their daily school, work, and home life.  I customize the teaching to fit your groups age and needs.  $75, travel costs may be added for areas outside the Fox Valley.

Relaxation Techniques ~ as an after school program for students
This is a 4 week program where I teach a group of up to 25 students 3rd grade and up approximately 9-10 different techniques they can use to calm their nerves and refocus before tests, when they are feeling angry, or after an experience that upset them.  This program has already been taught to 3rd - 6th graders at the Odyssey Charter School in Appleton (Fall 2006) and within the New London School System (Spring 2008) with positive feedback from the students and parents.  Cost is $300 plus $3 per child for supplies; Program is customizable to fit each groups needs and does not need to be 4 weeks/$300, contact me if interested and we can determine what is best for your situation/group.

Laughter Yoga can also be done as a stand alone activity.  Laughter yoga does incorporate a few breathing and stretching techniques.
